Why Mobility Choices?

Not everybody needs or wants to own a car. Especially when you consider that most of us only drive our cars a few hours a week,  which means we spend a lot of money for them to just sit there depreciating. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense in urban settings!
 

Car-sharing, bike-sharing, and public transit are great ways to save money by only paying for a trip when you actually need it. According to AAA, the average cost to own a car is $9,000 a year when you factor in car payments, gas, parking, insurance, and maintenance. That's a lot!

Using a an alternate mobility option a handful of times a month for those necessary trips can save you thousands of dollars a year.

How Does It Work?

It really couldn't be easier to use Mikros on Larchmere's mobility program. Here's how to get started.
  1. Download the app
  2. Follow the step-by-step signup process
  3. Get verified to drive*
  4. Schedule a car or bike using the app
  5. Unlock the car or bike using your phone
  6. Start your trip
  7. Return, plugin, and end your trip
  8. Repeat as needed
*Because insurance is provided, a motor vehicle record check is required to start using Mikros carshare service. There is a one-time $12.50 fee to run the MVR check.

Your Mobility Wallet

Each apartment will receive a monthly mobility wallet of $17.50 that includes a $5 RTA day pass and $12.50 to be used in any combination of electric vehicle and electric-assist bicycle use.
 
Unused credits for the month carryover to the next two months (credits are valid for 90 days from issuance).
